Programming Philosophy

Utility is open 7 days a week with the hope that we’re making class times available to more people.  Out of those 7 days we program workouts for 6 days, with Sunday being Open Gym.  This presents an interesting situation for designing workouts.  Rest days are an integral part of any physical fitness program, CrossFit is no exception.  Please take rest days as you need them.

Emphasis is always put on listening to your body, if your feeling beat up – rest.  If your feeling great; go ahead and get after it.  Not everyday at CrossFit needs to be 100% full throttle, lung searing pain.  Those workouts are what CrossFit is famous for, but they aren’t the whole program.
